RENOX Product Care & Cleaning Guide

Built tough. Easy to look after. Here’s how to keep your RENOX products performing the way they should.

At RENOX, everything we supply is designed for real job sites and real conditions. With the right handling and basic maintenance, your products will keep their finish, function, and durability for years. This guide runs through the simple steps to look after your RENOX drains, trims, profiles, and accessories — no overthinking, just practical tips that work.

1. Protect During Install (Super Important)

Most damage happens during construction, not after. A few quick habits onsite make all the difference.

Do this:

  • Leave protective film/wrapping on for as long as possible.
  • Keep products away from wet screed, grout, mortar, or concrete.
  • Use a placeholder (timber block, spare trim, or dummy grate) while pouring, screeding, or tiling.
  • Wipe off any splashes immediately — don’t let anything dry on the product.

Why it matters:
Abrasive grit + drying cement = surface damage that’s preventable.

2. First Clean After Installation

Once everything is installed:

  • Remove dust, silicone residue, and site muck using a soft cloth or soft brush.
  • Avoid anything abrasive — RENOX surfaces are tough, but not designed for steel wool or scouring pads.
  • Rinse with warm water to finish.
  • This is your reset point before regular cleaning begins.

3. Regular Cleaning (Simple & Quick)

RENOX products are low-maintenance, but like anything exposed to water, dirt, or weather, they benefit from routine cleaning.

Keep it easy:

  • – Wash down every 3 months (or more often in harsh environments).
  • Warm water is usually enough.
  • For stubborn spots, use a mild detergent or general-purpose cleaner.
  • Soft cloth or nylon brush only—no abrasive pads.
  • Always rinse off detergents properly.

Avoid completely:

  • Acidic cleaners
  • Harsh alkaline products
  • Abrasives
  • Anything labelled “not safe for aluminium” or “not safe for stainless steel”
  • These can damage the finish or void warranty.

4. Warranty Essentials

To maintain warranty coverage on RENOX products:

  • Follow the cleaning recommendations above.
  • Avoid harmful chemicals and abrasive tools.
  • Ensure installation follows RENOX guidelines.
  • Don’t modify or cut products in ways that impact structural integrity or function.
